Things Are Looking Up
I was asked what made me happy at the start of this project. It took me a while to actually answer that question in a concrete way. I was walking around looking up at the Reno skyline. There’s something about looking up at the rooftops that makes me feel like everything’s going to be okay, it’s the same feeling of looking out of a window on a plane, problems don’t seem as big in that moment. I went around the city and took photographs of the buildings and then changed the color of the sky in each through Photoshop. The colors I chose are my way to convey how I see the buildings. The colors derive from the city’s architecture.
